Youth Support + Advocacy Service (YSAS) is an organisation helping young people address alcohol and other drug challenges, improve their mental health and build healthier, more fulfilling futures. Since 1998, YSAS says it has supported more than 100,000 young people and families. Its approach centres young people and works alongside them and their families to reduce substance-related harm, strengthen wellbeing and help prevent unwanted involvement with the criminal justice system.

YSAS provides support for young people seeking help with substance use or mental health, as well as information and advice for people supporting someone else. Its work includes youth support, early intervention and services delivered through its sites, with pathways for referrals and getting connected. YSAS also provides training and resources, including adolescent withdrawal guidelines, practice frameworks and toolboxes. The organisation delivers the Victorian Pill Testing Service and contributes to research, policy and advocacy. Youth participation is central to its work, with opportunities for young people to shape services, influence decisions and speak up in their communities.
