About Youth For Sustainable Development -Machakos
Youth for Sustainable Development (YSD) is a dynamic, youth-led organization established in 2018 in Machakos County, Kenya. Guided by the slogan "Be A VOICE, not an ECHO," YSD is committed to empowering young people through active community engagement and promoting accountability. As the only youth-led organization in Machakos and one of the few nationwide, YSD has made significant strides in enhancing the lives of local youth.
YSD offers a variety of programs, including the Dream Makers Programme, Youth-Led Social Accountability initiatives, and comprehensive training and development workshops. Their ongoing partnership with USAID and Jhpiego under the Momentum Country and Global Leadership project exemplifies their dedication to health and civic engagement.
