Young Scientists Kenya (YSK) is a unique brand that aims to transform Kenya through science, technology, and innovation. They provide young people from across the country with an opportunity to showcase their scientific talents and demonstrate innovation through a National Science and Technology competition. YSK focuses on various areas of science, including Technology, Social & Behavioral Sciences, Biology & Ecological Sciences, and Chemical, Physical & Mathematical Sciences.

Through their pillars, YSK offers a platform for secondary school students in all 47 counties to exhibit their projects, with independent judging and an award ceremony. In addition, YSK conducts outreach programs and mentoring sessions to students, exposing them to live STEM demonstrations and encouraging them to pursue STEM careers. Winners of the competition are invited to a business bootcamp where they receive mentorship and training on commercialization, enterprise development, intellectual property, and trademarking.
