YTB, also known as the Directorate for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, is a government institution that focuses on the needs of Turkish citizens living abroad, as well as ethnic communities and international students studying in Turkey. They offer a wide range of services and programs that cater to the specific needs and interests of these groups. One of their main areas of focus is on Turkish citizens living abroad, particularly those who have settled in European countries and have maintained their presence for several generations.

YTB also places importance on cultural and social relationships with sister communities, known as Kardeş Topluluklar. These communities are made up of countries, regions, and societies with deep-rooted connections and significant ties to Turkey based on historical, religious, political, geographical, and cultural aspects. Another key area of their work is supporting international students.

The Turkey Scholarships program aims to expand and enhance social, cultural, political, and economic connections between countries by providing prestigious educational opportunities and scholarships for international students at Turkey's top universities. YTB's new initiative, the Digital Culture Platform, serves as a hub for news, cultural content, videos, infographics, special features, and important profiles related to the diverse regions with which Turkey shares language and cultural bonds. It aims to bring together Turks living abroad, their communities, and volunteers from all over the world for an intercontinental journey, because we are present in every corner of the globe
