About Youth Voices Count
Youth Voices Count (YVC) is a regional network of young individuals with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions, as well as sex characteristics. They cater specifically to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ) individuals in the Asia-Pacific region. Registered as a non-governmental organization in Iloilo City, Philippines, YVC focuses on advocating for sexual and reproductive health and rights, youth empowerment, and human rights issues affecting young LGBTIQ+ individuals.
The organization prioritizes the pillar of health, including sexual and reproductive health and mental well-being, as defined by the World Health Organization. YVC is also dedicated to safeguarding and advocating for the human rights of young LGBTIQ individuals, who face significant challenges globally. Furthermore, YVC empowers and develops LGBTIQ youth through targeted programs, enabling them to reach their full potential in both personal and community aspects.
