Zanzibar Airports Authority (ZAA) is the national governing body responsible for overseeing airport operations in Zanzibar, established under the Airport Authority Act No. 8 of 2011. Since its launch on August 26, 2011, ZAA has been dedicated to providing high-quality and efficient airport services while accommodating the needs of travelers from around the world.

The authority operates two key airports: Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (AAKIA) and Pemba Airport, serving as vital gateways to East Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. With a strong commitment to infrastructure development and tourism enhancement, ZAA has successfully handled over 30 international airlines, becoming reputable in the aviation sector.
