About ANAD
ANAD is an association of irregular bus operators that strives for a fair business environment, equal conditions for regular and irregular transportation, and the preservation of this service for the general public. ANAD, the Association of Irregular Bus Transportation, advocates for a fair entrepreneurial environment for irregular bus transportation by aligning the conditions between regular and irregular passenger transport and thereby increasing the accessibility of this service to the wider public. Irregular bus transportation is a unique and irreplaceable service with socially beneficial added value.
ANAD in numbers: We bring together 228 Czech companies operating irregular bus transportation. Our operators run more than 1,111 buses in all regions of the Czech Republic. Public support: Over 2,070 organizations representing nearly 2 million citizens of the Czech Republic expressed their support for our industry in 2021.
Passengers per week: Each week, irregular passenger transport buses carry over a million passengers on average. Passenger-kilometers: Over ten billion passenger-kilometers annually - that's the performance of buses providing irregular transportation! Irregular bus transportation in a nutshell: Service to children: Irregular bus transportation services serve 2 million children and youth from the entire school system. They are an integral part of the Czech educational system, among other things.
Service to seniors: Thousands of buses are ordered annually by various non-profit organizations, travel agencies, and municipalities, providing social contact to seniors for theater, museums, cinemas, nature, sightseeing, or concerts. Service to the disabled: Irregular bus transportation, including specially adapted buses, is also available to hundreds of patient organizations. Service to all of us: Sports clubs, schools, nursing homes, municipalities, ministries, parishes, and many other organizations order buses from ANAD.
