About Zaborona
Zaborona Media is a journalism organization whose website and archive contained seven years of published work. The organization reports that its hosting provider, Hetzner, permanently erased the site and archive after an overdue invoice of €173.89. Zaborona says it is seeking to restore the lost data and is working with legal and press-freedom partners in response. Its public statement explains what happened and directs readers to further information.
The material provided offers limited detail about Zaborona Media’s editorial focus, audience, or other services, so its work can be described here only in terms of its journalism and the archive it maintained. The loss of that archive represents the removal of seven years of its published journalism from the website, while the organization pursues restoration. Zaborona Media presents the incident as a serious matter involving access to its work and is seeking support through legal and press-freedom partnerships.
