Zaimki

Zaimki.pl is a volunteer-led, queer-language initiative offering a comprehensive Polish-language resource on nonbinary, gender-neutral and inclusive communication. Created by the collective Rada Języka Neutralnego, the project works to promote freedom, respect and inclusion in language, while supporting broader efforts for equality and social justice.

The site brings together information about nonbinary pronouns and other gender forms, neutral nouns, inclusive vocabulary and their use in everyday speech. Visitors can explore examples from literature, journalism, film, television and music, as well as guides, terminology, translations and educational articles. The blog covers language and community topics, and a queer calendar highlights awareness events. Users can also create a personal, multilingual profile card to share their pronouns, names and pride flags, with a link for social media or email signatures.

Zaimki.pl invites community participation through contributions and edits to entries, translation proposals, technical improvements, new language versions and educational materials. Its resources are developed collaboratively, with the aim of making respectful forms of address easier to understand and use.
