About Zambia Gold Company Limited
Zambia Gold Company Limited (ZGCL) is dedicated to developing and formalizing the gold mining industry in Zambia. As a key player in the sector, ZGCL is involved in every stage of the gold value chain, including exploration, production, mine development, processing, and marketing. ZGCL actively supports and empowers artisanal and small-scale gold miners by buying gold from them, encouraging them to formalize their operations.
This not only enhances their livelihoods but also ensures responsible and sustainable practices. Through their Geology Department, ZGCL conducts rigorous exploration campaigns at the Kasenseli Gold Project, constantly seeking opportunities to expand and diversify their gold reserves. Their mining and processing activities at the Kanseli Gold Mine in Mwinilunga District have been progressing since 2020.
ZGCL sells all the gold produced at the mine to the Bank of Zambia, contributing significantly to the country's economic growth.
