Zampesarde

Zampesarde is the public-facing name of the Ghilarza Animal Protection Association “I Miei Amici,” which supports dogs in need in Ghilarza, in Sardinia’s province of Oristano. The refuge has been cared for by Flavia Carta since 1998, with a focus on providing animals with food, water and necessary care while helping them find permanent homes. The association promotes adoption of both adult dogs and puppies, including senior and small dogs from the Ghilarza shelter. Its website introduces dogs seeking homes and invites prospective adopters to learn more about them.

For people who cannot adopt, Zampesarde offers distance adoption as another way to support a dog. The association also shares information about animal rescue and reporting abuse, and it raises support through donations, legacy gifts, an Amazon wish list and other initiatives. Its activities include special events and fundraising items, such as an annual calendar and felt key rings. The site provides information about the association, its canine educator, the refuge and ways to get in touch, as well as resources for helping its dogs.
