Zanndoli

Zanndoli is a nonprofit association of reptile enthusiasts, founded in Rennes, France, in 2020. Its mission is to take in abandoned reptiles and amphibians and help them find caring adoptive homes. The association also accepts other scaled animals, including insects, when owners can no longer care for them because of changing circumstances or a death in the family. Animals receive care and health checks before adoption, and Zanndoli offers prospective adopters guidance suited to their experience. Its advice covers essential aspects of responsible care, such as habitat setup, feeding, handling and terrarium maintenance, supported by species information sheets.

Beyond rescue and adoption, Zanndoli runs public events and interactive workshops to raise awareness about reptiles and other animals, including amphibians and crustaceans. These activities aim to improve understanding of their place in ecosystems and encourage responsible ownership, including avoiding releases into unsuitable natural environments. Donations support the animals’ needs, their terrarium environments and their care at the association’s facilities.
