Zakat Found

The Zeket and Charity Foundation is a charitable organization of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, based in Astana. Guided by Islamic principles, it helps Muslims understand and fulfill their zakat obligations while directing support to people in need. The foundation provides information on zakat rules, current nisab levels and eligible recipients, alongside an online zakat calculator and options for online zakat and sadaqah donations.

Its charitable work includes financial and material assistance for low-income families, food aid for madrasa students and people facing hardship, and support for families raising children with special needs. Through its “A Nation’s Contribution: A Home” project, the foundation has provided housing to families in need. It also supports practical skills training, including a screen-printing course for women, and activities for children with special educational needs. Zakat funds may also support religious services, including salaries for staff at village mosques that cannot fully finance themselves. The foundation shares educational articles, videos, news and reports, and offers contact channels for questions and assistance.
