Zelená Vízia

Zelená Vízia pre Slovensko is an initiative focused on how Slovakia can respond to the climate crisis and prepare for the country’s future. Its main purpose is to foster informed discussion about the effects of climate change and the decisions needed to address them. The initiative brings together expertise from across sectors, including environmental studies, economics, energy, politics, sociology and demographics, as well as representatives of business and civil society.

Through public events, discussions, articles, videos and insights, it explores topics such as Slovakia’s development through 2050, public attitudes to climate change, impacts on health and the economy, and changes to the landscape and seasons. It also examines sustainable agriculture and energy, economic transformation, population trends, and how recovery funding can support lasting reforms. By encouraging cooperation across sectors and political perspectives, Zelená Vízia aims to help shape realistic, clearly defined goals for the country. Its programme includes expert conversations and events where participants consider what kind of Slovakia they want to build and how to make that vision achievable.
