Zell-Haidberg

Luftsportgruppe Münchberg e.V. is a flying club and officially recognised flight training organisation based at Zell-Haidberg airfield (EDNZ) in the Fichtelgebirge region of Upper Franconia, Germany. The club helps aspiring pilots build their skills through practical training in gliding, motor gliding and ultralight aircraft, including the Breezer. Its training is authorised by the Bavarian Air Sports Association for glider and motor-glider pilot licences, with ultralight pilot training also available.

For qualified pilots, the club offers access to its well-maintained aircraft fleet for hire at self-cost rates, without commercial surcharges, with flexible online booking. Visitors can also join scenic flights to experience the Upper Franconian landscape from the air. The club welcomes flying groups and has hosted clubs from across Germany for flight camps, offering an airfield setting supported by a welcoming atmosphere and facilities for shared aviation activities. Operating generally by prior permission, Luftsportgruppe Münchberg combines flight instruction, aircraft access and community flying for members, students and guests.
