About Žene za žene
Žene za žene is a renowned brand that has been supporting women in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1994. With a strong focus on improving the economic, political, and social status of women, they empower them to actively participate in decision-making processes within their families and communities. Through their CORE program, they have worked with over 80,000 women in more than 50 local communities across the country since 2001.
Additionally, they provide mentorship to local women's associations formed through the CORE program and expand their reach through new training programs and financial support for projects, including the Academy of Democracy for Young Women. In 2018, they formed a network of women's associations for rural development, comprising members from various regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Furthermore, Žene za žene has successfully conducted the Academy of Young Women Leaders, with over 100 young women benefitting from their programs.
They have also initiated projects to support refugees from Ukraine in collaboration with Women for Women International. Through their dedication and impactful initiatives, Žene za žene continues to empower women and build strong communities
