The Japan Society for Animal Specialty Education (SAE) is dedicated to fostering a harmonious society where humans and animals coexist peacefully. Established in 2002, SAE plays a crucial role in developing professionals within the animal care industry through various educational programs. The association offers a range of licenses, including "Trimmer," "Domestic Dog Trainer," "Animal-Assisted Welfare Specialist," and "Animal Clinical Assistant," which adhere to the highest standards of fairness and expertise required for animal handling professionals.

SAE not only emphasizes the training of skilled personnel but also highlights the importance of education for pet owners, providing numerous courses and seminars on animal health and welfare. Their comprehensive curriculum caters to the evolving pet industry, adapting to challenges such as aging pets and market competition. Additionally, SAE actively engages with various stakeholders, including pet lovers, educational institutions, and businesses, to achieve their vision of mutual understanding and well-being between humans and animals. Through their initiatives, SAE aims to contribute significantly to societal well-being and the animal care profession.
