Zepelin Stiftung Appelhagen

The Zepelin Stiftung Appelhagen, established in autumn 2022, is a non-profit foundation dedicated to advancing social, cultural, ecological, and educational projects within the Mecklenburg Lake District. Based in Teterow, the foundation encourages local associations, initiatives, and innovators to apply for support to realize their vision. The foundation focuses exclusively on projects within the administrative district of Mecklenburgische Schweiz and Teterow, offering funding for various areas including civic engagement, education, arts, culture, environmental conservation, and support for marginalized groups.

The foundation also promotes youth craftsmanship, awarding prizes and scholarships to outstanding apprentices in the region, fostering skills development and community involvement. Governed by a council of family and local representatives, the Zepelin Stiftung Appelhagen ensures transparent and accountable funding processes. It also collaborates with partners to initiate its own projects. With a commitment to combating discrimination and promoting charitable aims, the foundation serves as a vital resource for community development in central Mecklenburg.
