About Zero Emissions Platform
Zero Emissions Platform (ZEP) is a trusted European Technology and Innovation Platform that advises the European Union (EU) on the deployment of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) technologies. With a broad membership base that includes Oil&Gas, Industry, Utilities, Research, and environmental NGOs, ZEP provides balanced views and recommendations to liaise with European Institutions and cooperate with Member State governments. The platform's objectives are to create the conditions necessary to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in Europe by 2050, demonstrate the importance of implementing CCS and CCU technologies at scale, and accelerate the deployment of large-scale CO2 transport and storage networks.
ZEP advocates for an enabling policy framework, continued support for research and innovation, coordinated funding programs, an EU strategy for CCS and CCU, and markets for net-zero products.
