Ziemia Milicka

Fundacja na rzecz Ziemi Milickiej supports nature, education and community life in the Dolina Baryczy region of Poland. Its activities include operating the “Catch and Release” fishing lake at the Milicz Reservoir, where anglers must return all fish safely to the water. Open 24 hours a day, the fishery welcomes beginners, experienced sport fishers, families and visitors seeking quiet outdoor recreation. Access requires a day or monthly fishing permit, available through the e-permit service, with payments handled by PayU.

The foundation also organizes recurring fishing competitions and seasonal outdoor events, including sports activities, family picnics and recreational gatherings. A local winter swimming club meets at the reservoir as well. For children and groups, it offers outdoor educational activities covering local wildlife, ecology, environmental protection and water safety, alongside workshops and outdoor games. Its wider projects include improving the reservoir grounds with green-blue infrastructure and renovating the summer relaxation area. Through these services and initiatives, the foundation encourages responsible recreation, environmental care and community participation in Milicz.
