Zimbabwe Institute of Legal Studies (ZILS) is a registered Vocational Training Institution under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education. It is the exclusive provider of HEXCO National Certificate, National Diploma, and Higher National Diploma courses in law and related specialist fields in Zimbabwe.

ZILS offers a range of courses on a full-time, block release, and part-time basis. These courses include Applied Law, Forensic Science and Crime Investigation, Commerce and Law, Forensic Accounting and Investigation, and Mineral Law and Policy. Each course has specific entry requirements, ensuring students have the necessary academic background for their chosen field.

Completing a National Certificate at ZILS takes 1 year (1 year 6 months for part-time students), while obtaining a National Diploma requires 3 years of study. The Higher National Diploma can be achieved in 1 year, following the completion of the National Certificate. ZILS also offers a short 12-week course for individuals without a legal qualification, providing legal literacy and cognition skills.

Upon graduation, ZILS students are equipped and prepared to pursue careers in various fields, such as legal clerks, legal officers, company secretaries, compliance officers, forensic auditors, and more. Graduates may also choose to further their studies and pursue degrees in their respective disciplines.
