About ASZ
The Actuarial Society of Zimbabwe (ASZ) is a volunteer-driven organization that represents, supports, and promotes the actuarial profession in Zimbabwe. With approximately 200 students and 20 resident qualified actuaries, ASZ is dedicated to empowering its members at various levels of qualification. ASZ also collaborates with qualified actuaries outside of Zimbabwe who are paid up members of the Society.
The majority of ASZ members are also members of prestigious institutions such as the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK), the Society of Actuaries, and the Actuarial Society of South Africa. ASZ is currently working on developing practice modules tailored for the Zimbabwe market and exploring areas where actuaries can apply their skills for the benefit of the public. ASZ hosts an annual convention, providing a platform for actuarial and financial experts worldwide to discuss cutting-edge research and new thinking in various actuarial practice areas.
