About ZIMIHC
ZIMIHC is a vibrant non-profit organization dedicated to fostering local cultural development and arts participation in Utrecht. Established in 1989 by director Appie Alferink, ZIMIHC began as a modest venue and has expanded to operate three distinct theaters: ZIMIHC theater Wittevrouwen, ZIMIHC theater Stefanus, and ZIMIHC theater Zuilen. These spaces serve as creative hubs for artists of all backgrounds—whether seasoned performers or newcomers—to rehearse, perform, and exhibit their work.
With a commitment to the amateur arts, ZIMIHC encourages artistic expression and collaboration through a variety of initiatives, including hosting national and international events such as Leading Voices. Additionally, the organization provides essential resources and support for artists, including access to rehearsal studios, technical guidance, and opportunities for publicity. ZIMIHC's mission is to ensure that the stage is accessible to everyone, providing the perfect atmosphere for creativity to flourish while celebrating the rich tapestry of Utrecht's cultural scene
