Zinat is an English-language encyclopedia of beauty, decoration and design, created as part of the ZIBADIS network. Its name means adornment, beauty and ornament in Persian, reflecting the site’s interest in Iranian decorative traditions as well as design around the world. Zinat offers accessible guides on interiors, colour and pattern, architecture, gardens, flowers, crafts, jewellery, cars, and food presentation. Its design atlas connects these subjects with styles, makers and examples, while the Ornament app provides editable 3D concepts for exploring ideas.
