Zitronenbande is a family-created storytelling brand founded by Christiane and Torben, parents living in Hamburg. They began publishing their imaginative stories on a small blog in 2017, and the collection has since grown to more than 100 tales read by thousands. Created for children and adults alike, the stories are written with care and imagination, with many designed to make bedtime a special ritual.

The website offers good-night stories in different lengths, seasonal collections, and tales featuring recurring characters such as Kater Leo, Kommissar Walter, and Löwe Ludwig. Readers can also explore modern interpretations of classic Aesop fables and well-known fairy tales, alongside children’s jokes, songs, games, greetings, and articles. The site includes accessible explanations of German idioms and a blog covering topics such as wishes, sayings, and humor.

Zitronenbande also offers an app featuring many stories as audiobooks, with an ad-free experience and a dark reading mode. Its stories are available in other languages through separate English, Italian, and Spanish websites.
