Zodl

Zodl is a Zcash-powered mobile wallet designed to make private cryptocurrency payments accessible while keeping users in control of their funds. Formerly known as Zashi, it is built for shielded ZEC, which conceals transaction details on the blockchain. The wallet emphasizes self-custody, informed choice, and privacy, and says it does not collect or track users’ wallet activity or in-app behavior.

With Zodl, users can send private ZEC-to-ZEC payments, shield eligible transparent ZEC with a single tap, and use CrossPay to send shielded ZEC while recipients receive another cryptocurrency, such as BTC or a stablecoin. Built-in swaps, powered by NEAR Intents, connect Zcash with other crypto ecosystems without relying on centralized exchanges. Users can also manage shielded ZEC held on a Keystone hardware wallet and send encrypted notes with transactions or separately.

For real-world spending, Zodl works with Flexa to enable Zcash payments at participating retailers. The app is developed by Zcash protocol creators and mobile product specialists, with downloads available through major app stores, F-Droid, and GitHub.
