About Zometool

Zometool is more than just a brand, it's a revolutionary tool that combines the worlds of math, science, and creativity. Dubbed as the Lego of the Future, Zometool is a physical embodiment of quantum math, allowing you to experience math in a tangible way. Designed to enhance creativity and intelligence, Zometool makes math beautiful, simple, and fun, even for those who consider themselves bad at math.

It's not just for adults either, as sharing Zometool with children is an investment in their future. Zometool has already had a profound impact on various fields, including mathematics, science, architecture, and art, with even Nobel prizewinners being influenced by it. The tool's foundation lies in the relationships among the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 5, represented by green, blue, yellow, and red lines.

These numbers are at the core of our universe, and understanding their structure is understanding the structure of space itself. The story of Zometool began in the late 1960s, when visionary architect Steve Baer discovered the mathematical basis for the tool's unique geometry. Inspired by artists living in Drop City, Baer and his team developed zonohedral geometry, which served as the basis for their revolutionary zomes buildings.

It was during this time that Clark RIchert created a 30-sided solid shadow, leading to the discovery of Richert-Penrose tiles years before they were published by Roger Penrose. This discovery laid the groundwork for Zometool's development. In 1980, Marc Pelletier, inspired by Baer's Zome Primer, met with Baer, Richert, and Paul Hildebrandt to make the Zometool more accessible and user-friendly.

Twelve years later, the Zometool was born, merging the cubic structure of crystals with the exquisite 5-fold symmetries. It is a tool that allows you to explore the fascinating intersection of math, art, and science. Zometool is not just a toy; it's an educational tool designed to inspire curiosity and creativity, inviting you to unleash your imagination and build a better world
