Київський зоологічний парк загальнодержавного значення

Kyiv Zoo is a conservation, research, and educational institution in Kyiv, Ukraine, founded in 1907. Its animal collection includes around 300 species and is developed with attention to conservation status, scientific research, and educational value. Visitors can see animals including elephants, giraffes, hippos, lions, tigers, and gorillas. The zoo works to care for and breed animals, particularly rare and threatened species, conduct research, and maintain its arboretum. It also offers cultural and educational programs focused on ecology, zoology, animal behavior, and nature conservation.

Activities include guided and themed tours, seasonal events, educational initiatives, and a young naturalists’ club, where children learn about animals and gain practical care experience. The zoo also runs animal-assisted activities, including support for military families and other groups. A major reconstruction began in 2017 and is being carried out in stages while the zoo remains open to visitors. Located at 32 Beresteyskyi Avenue, Kyiv Zoo offers adult and child admission, with discounted online tickets and free entry for children under six.
