ZOO Chleby

**Zoo Chleby** is a dynamic zoological destination situated near Nymburk, Czech Republic, founded on June 5, 1997. Originally a private collection by Dana and René Franěk, it transformed into a public zoo due to growing interest in exotic species such as the Hyacinth Macaw, Red-tailed Amazon, and various colorful pheasants. Over the years, Zoo Chleby has expanded significantly, now featuring over 70 animal species from around the globe, alongside a diverse flora, including bamboos and more.

The zoo boasts compelling exhibits such as the “Angkor Wat” pavilion for Gibbons, the immense freshwater aquarium “Elbe,” and a cheetah pavilion named “Livingstone House.” Family-friendly amenities, including a children's zoo and playground, enhance the visitor experience.

Zoo Chleby emphasizes conservation and education, being a proud member of the Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EARAZA). With its welcoming atmosphere, it continues to captivate visitors, making it a cherished destination for both individuals and families.
