Zoological Adviser

Zoological Adviser is an integrated zoological consultancy serving public and private zoological collections around the world. The group, comprising Zoolife SL and Zoological Adviser SL, is a corporate member of EAZA and a sponsor of AIZA. Its multidisciplinary team brings together professionals in veterinary care, biology, education, economics, architecture and animal husbandry, with experience across projects in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.

The consultancy supports institutions with general and technical management, strategic master planning, and the design of new animal facilities. Its services also include sourcing animals and species, coordinating ethical transfers and European or international transport, managing veterinary care, and handling administrative and regulatory requirements, including CITES procedures. Zoological Adviser develops animal welfare assessments and action plans, prepares institutions for membership in associations such as EAZA, AIZA and WAZA, and provides specialist training for staff. It also helps manage surplus animal populations through coordinated exchanges between institutions. Its work aims to connect effective zoo management with animal welfare, conservation and sustainable institutional development.
