Zorgboerderij Ons Thuis is a small-scale day-care provider for adults with care needs, based at a farm in Schijndel, the Netherlands. Its name reflects its focus on creating a welcoming, familiar place where participants feel safe, included and at home. In a calm, modern setting, a professional team offers supervised daily activities tailored to individual abilities and interests, emphasizing what each person can do and enjoy.
Activities make use of the farm’s green surroundings and include caring for animals, gardening, working in the vegetable garden and greenhouse, and preparing meals together. Participants can also play jeu de boules or pool, go for walks, and take part in seasonal activities. The outdoor environment is designed to offer space and a peaceful connection with nature.
When a participant has an indication for transport, Ons Thuis provides pickup and return journeys using its own taxi bus. The organization values continuity, with familiar staff helping maintain close communication with participants’ families.
