zorgboerderij Tokhok

Tokhok is a care farm in the northeast of Arnhem, set in a scenic location overlooking the Veluwezoom. Since 2004, Esther van Kemp has run the farm with a team of permanent staff, interns and volunteers, creating a supportive place for meaningful daily activities and hands-on experience. Tokhok works with a diverse group of participants, including children, young people and adults who need support related to mental health challenges, intellectual or multiple disabilities, acquired brain injury, autism or addiction care.

Activities take place around the farm and its greenhouses, with options such as growing vegetables, caring for animals, maintaining green spaces, practical jobs and creative projects. The farm is home to chickens and other animals, and participants help collect the eggs. Tokhok also grows seasonal vegetables and fruit, both in greenhouses and outdoors in open fields. Its fresh produce selection changes with the seasons. Alongside its care activities and farm products, Tokhok welcomes people interested in internships or volunteering and provides information for those looking to apply for care.
