Zottel Ranch is a family-run horse boarding and Highland cattle breeding farm in the Bavarian Forest, founded by Petra and Sepp. Inspired by their bond with their own horses, they began developing the ranch in 2019 to create a natural, species-appropriate environment that supports healthy and independent animal care. The ranch offers horse pension with paddock boxes and pasture turnout, along with hay produced on the farm.
Riders can enjoy the surrounding riding terrain, and the ranch also provides a paddock-trail option. Additional offerings include a holiday apartment and a range of services, with prices available through the ranch. Alongside its equestrian facilities, Zottel Ranch breeds Highland cattle.
The ranch welcomes visitors interested in learning more and invites them to make contact for an introduction. Combining horse boarding, outdoor riding opportunities, accommodation, and cattle breeding, Zottel Ranch reflects its owners’ commitment to building a place where people and animals can share a closer connection in the Bavarian Forest
