Verein Freunde schwerer Zugpferde Schweiz is a Swiss association for people who value working with heavy draft horses, particularly cold-blood breeds. The club promotes the role of draft horses and shares information with owners, enthusiasts and the wider public. It welcomes participants of all breeds, whether or not they own a horse or pony, and encourages members to build friendships and exchange practical knowledge.
The association supports events featuring working horses, including organising or assisting with draft horse days and presenting horses at public gatherings. Its activities and programme include demonstrations and practical events connected with traditional horse work. The club also helps connect people by maintaining information directories for cold-blood horse owners and for services such as carriage rides and horse logging. Members can use its marketplace to offer or find working equipment, including harnesses and wagons, as well as horses.
Those interested in its community can join as active or supporting members.
