About Zwickauer Fussballgeschichten
Zwickauer Fussballgeschichten e.V. is an association dedicated to documenting and sharing the history of football in Zwickau. Through news, historical features and its FSV Wiki, it explores the people, matches and events connected with local clubs, including FSV Zwickau and its predecessors, Sachsenring Zwickau and Motor Zwickau. Its articles revisit memorable seasons and fixtures, celebrate former players and coaches, and preserve stories from different eras of the sport.
The association also develops public history projects and exhibitions. These include “Between Success and Persecution,” about Jewish stars in German sport, as well as displays presented at locations such as the Zwickau Arcaden, the main market square and the FSV fan shop. Other projects include the “Legenden-Eck,” the book “Egal Wie!” and the Halden-FuMo podcast. The website offers videos, press coverage and information about the club’s history and activities. People interested in supporting its work can apply for membership. Overall, the association brings Zwickau’s football heritage to fans and the wider community through research, storytelling and events.
