Civil Protection GR

The Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection of Greece is the government body responsible for sharing information and guidance on civil protection, natural hazards and emergency preparedness. Its official website serves citizens, local authorities and other stakeholders with timely announcements, weather-related updates and practical advice for protecting people and property.

The site provides safety guidance on hazards including wildfires, earthquakes, storms, floods, heatwaves, snow and ice, landslides, volcanoes and industrial or chemical incidents. Visitors can access fire-risk forecasts, thematic maps, emergency plans, preparedness materials and information on climate crisis and disaster risk management. The ministry also publishes press releases, public notices, procurement and consultation announcements, and information about volunteering and international cooperation.

For people affected by disasters, the site offers information on state assistance, including support for damaged buildings and businesses, temporary housing and a first-aid assistance platform. A digital assistant answers general informational questions about state aid. The website also links to relevant Greek emergency, meteorological, fire, police and health services, helping users find official resources and contact details.
