The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) is a professional association founded in 1941 for people who cover college football across North America. Its membership includes journalists, broadcasters, publicists and executives connected with the sport, and now exceeds 1,200. Membership is limited to accredited media members and organizations affiliated with college football, with applications subject to board approval.
The FWAA supports the game and the professionals who report on it through work involving game-day operations, major awards and its All-America team.
