Open Infrastructure Map is an interactive mapping project that visualizes electricity, telecommunications, oil, gas, water, and other infrastructure around the world using data from OpenStreetMap. Its map brings diverse infrastructure features together in one place, helping users explore networks and facilities by location and type. For electricity, the map includes power lines categorized by voltage, high-voltage direct-current and traction lines, power plants, generators, support structures, substations, transformers, and related equipment.
Other layers show telecoms cables, towers, datacenters, exchanges and cabinets; gas transmission and distribution networks; petroleum infrastructure; and water, wastewater, and treatment facilities. It also covers pipelines carrying materials such as hydrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and steam. Users can view the map, inspect its legend, and access options to edit features through remote tools such as JOSM or directly in a browser with iD.
The site also provides information about the project, statistics, and data exports, making it useful for exploring and working with mapped infrastructure data
