MICT SETA

MICT SETA is a Sector Education and Training Authority serving South Africa’s media, information and communication technology sectors. It works with employers, employee organisations, training providers, learners and other stakeholders to support skills development and strengthen the sector’s skills pipeline. Its activities include sector skills planning and research, workplace skills planning, and the coordination of learning opportunities aligned with industry needs.

MICT SETA supports a range of programmes, including bursaries, learnerships, internships, skills programmes and work-integrated learning. It also administers discretionary grant funding and provides guidance on programme implementation, funding processes and learner stipends. Through its quality assurance work, the authority supports provider accreditation, workplace approvals, assessor and moderator registration, examinations, certification and qualifications.

The organisation offers resources such as annual reports, sector skills plans, research reports, occupational information and learning programme guidance. It also engages stakeholders through workshops, roadshows, events and capacity-building initiatives. MICT SETA’s work is focused on helping develop relevant skills and improve access to structured training across the media and ICT landscape.
