Sepaleontologia

The Sociedad Española de Paleontología (SEP) is a Spanish organisation dedicated to paleontology and the people, institutions, and communities connected with the field. It provides a professional and scholarly network for members, with information about its leadership, honorary members, history, membership, and collaborating organisations. The SEP supports research and the exchange of knowledge through the Spanish Journal of Palaeontology, monographs, and its Palaeontological Publications Series.

It also organises annual meetings and shares details of previous events, awards, and research grants. For education and public engagement, the organisation offers teaching and outreach resources and highlights news, discoveries, and activities related to paleontology. Its website also helps visitors learn what to do if they find a fossil, understand relevant regulations, and explore museums and collections through an interactive directory.

Additional resources cover heritage management, collaborative projects, fossil sites, legislation, and other paleontological societies. Through these publications, events, resources, and services, the SEP promotes communication and collaboration across Spain’s paleontological community
