How it works

How do I use a Brandfetch skill?

Install the plugin, sign in, then ask your agent to do it.

  1. Install the plugin

One install adds the Brandfetch MCP server and every skill. In Claude Code, run:

    View the GitHub repo
  2. Sign in to Brandfetch

The first time a skill uses Brandfetch, the sign-in opens in your browser. The free plan works. On claude.ai, add the repo under Connectors, Plugins, Add marketplace instead.

    Read the MCP guide
  3. Allow brandfetch.io

Add *.brandfetch.io to your network allowlist so skills can download logo files. The change applies to new conversations.

  4. Ask your agent

Skills load when your request calls for them, or by name, as /brandfetch:logo-wall. For example: "Make a logo wall from this customer list."

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

What is a Brandfetch skill and how is it different from MCP?

A skill is a set of written instructions your agent follows for one particular job. A Brandfetch skill tells the agent which Brandfetch call to make, in what order, and what to do with the result.

The Brandfetch MCP gives your agent the tools to look up brands. A skill tells it which tools to use, in what order, and what to do with the result.

You need a Brandfetch account, and the free plan works. The plugin installs the Brandfetch MCP server along with the skills, and you sign in the first time a skill calls Brandfetch, so there is no API key to copy.

To connect with a token instead, create a bf1. MCP token under Keys and MCP in the dashboard. See the MCP guide.

Skills download logo files from Brandfetch, and Claude can only download from sites on its network allowlist. Add *.brandfetch.io.

On claude.ai, go to Settings, then Capabilities. Turn on network access and add the domain. On Team and Enterprise plans, an admin makes this change. It applies to new conversations.

Brandfetch covers 50M+ brands.

Our data comes from first-party sources, and brands can verify their own profile. When a value is missing, the API returns null instead of a guess.

Yes. On claude.ai, an admin can add the plugin for the whole organization under Organization settings, then Plugins. After that, anyone on the team can ask Claude for a logo wall or a deck.
